Today we have a simple announcement to make, and on behalf of the team, I am extremely proud to say that:

Paradime is now profitable 🎉!

This is an incredible achievement and by far the most significant milestone we've reached as a team so far. We are thankful to our customers, team, and investors - we could not have done this without you. And we're just getting started.

Building a startup isn't easy. You face constant ups and downs, but you keep going because that's the only thing you can do. Not every product experiment worked. Not every deal closed. But we stayed in the game, constantly iterating on product, go-to-market, and team that helped us reach this incredible milestone. Did we make mistakes? Yes, but we quickly learnt from it and moved on to newer mistakes 🙂 and we kept going.

A startup journey is never linear, and seems like a good time to share some of the joys and hard-earned lessons we learned along the way.

2021 - The first design partners

We started Paradime in 2021 with a simple vision: build the MacOS for analytics—a single platform where analytics engineers can code, run, and manage the cost of their data platforms.

When we onboarded the first design partners, I remember it would take us 54 seconds to load the Code IDE! Yet our early design partners gave us a chance—and I can't be more grateful to them. Our early users endured the pain of a minute-long browser reload and still found value in our product. By the end of 2021, we'd cut the load time to 21 seconds. Today, the IDE loads instantly (hot load) and in less than 8 seconds (cold load). This is the story of Paradime in everything we do - continuously iterate and improve. Our customers have always been our benchmark—every day, working backwards from their needs, we push ourselves to exceed their expectations. That's what keep us going.

2022 - Paradime Bolt was born

In 2022, we experimented relentlessly with the product. We tried building a dbt™️ logs viewer that didn't work—it was frankly ugly. We built an anomaly detection engine, but nobody wanted it, so we scrapped it. What emerged from all that experimentation was Bolt, the Paradime orchestration platform built from the ground up for rock solid reliability and exceptional CI capabilities like column-level lineage diff.

In 2022, we also closed our first enterprise account. We learned how to price and sell our product to not just startups but bigger businesses.

We weren't afraid to kill features if customers didn't want to buy them. We've always operated that way.

But the best example of our execution came when we were about to lose a deal. The customer found our git UI complex and thought a simpler alternative would take us three months to build. We built the Git "Lite" panel in exactly three days. That kind of execution got us in the door with teams that valued speed and quality. This is in our DNA and we do it all the time. We create internal “war rooms”, execute like hell, and get stuff done.

2023 - Starting the GTM engine

In 2023, we set out to build our sales and marketing engine. We made every conceivable mistake. We hired poorly. We spent too much time on unqualified deals. Our pricing didn't reflect the value we delivered. On top of that, every sales leader in the market had advice for us—which mostly didn't help. Many people thought we'd fail.

Meanwhile, we were drowning in Slack alerts from our application platform. 99% of the exception alerts from our application were false positives. We were constantly missing the 1% of real alerts and issues. We were struggling with technical debt. We were losing deals.

Then, in June 2023, Jay Rosenthal (who was at Panther at the time) gave us feedback that changed everything. This is probably the single most important piece of feedback we've ever received - it transformed how we build product at Paradime.

paradime feedback

Since June 2023, we've fixed every bug (large or small) we find or that our customers report. They may not get fixed immediately, but they definitely get fixed. Today, Jay and his team have 10X-ed their productivity at Motive with Paradime.

By the end of 2023, we'd reduced false positive errors by 95%, won deals against dbt Cloud™️ with a 65% win rate, and started building a repeatable sales motion.

2023 was also when ChatGPT launched, and we announced DinoAI, Paradime's AI co-pilot for analytics engineering.

2024-2025 - Transforming GTM into a machine

In 2024, we built a talent-dense, execution-driven GTM team from the ground up. We created our GTM processes from scratch, closed our first major enterprise customers, and ended the year increasing our win rate to 91% versus dbt Cloud™️.

While growing revenue, we relentlessly focused on costs, especially technology costs. We started a ritual: every Friday, a 30-minute meeting where we review our biggest tech cost contributors. This simple practice drove awareness and accountability - controlling costs became part of our DNA.

We pioneered the DinoAI agent aka Cursor for Data, built for AI-native data teams.

In 2025, we ran 17 events across 8 cities and 3 major conferences. We consistently kept growing our revenue, onboarding startups to enterprises, with an Net revenue retention (NRR) of 153%.

By the end of 2025, almost all our early competitors were gone. Even dbt Labs, Inc. announced their merger with Fivetran.

We became profitable 🚀.

What's next?

We are just getting started.

There's so much more to build and learn. There's a saying: to fight, you have to be alive first. That's where we are. We are in the game to build the future.

We're building the future - a truly agentic data engineering platform to code and run workloads for analytics and AI.

For the market, Paradime is now the only AI-first, vendor-agnostic choice beyond dbt Labs, Inc. - and a stable partner for organizations looking to run mission-critical workloads at any scale. In 2025 alone, we’ve shipped 1,800 features, executed >40 million mins of data workloads, with 100% uptime!

One of my investors always told us it’s 100X better to fight the ground waves than air waves.

So we keep doing that 🙌 🙏🤘.
