Error: KeyError: 'OPENCLAW_API_KEY' or No API key found for provider

Cause: Environment variable not configured in Bolt Schedules section.

Fix:

  1. Go to SettingsWorkspacesEnvironment Variables

  2. Verify the variable exists in the Bolt Schedules section (not the Code IDE section)

  3. Confirm there are no extra spaces in the key name or value

3. Web Search Returns Empty Results

Error: Script completes but reports contain no data.

Cause: Search provider API key is missing or rate-limited.

Fix:

  • Verify BRAVE_API_KEY (or your chosen provider's key) is set

  • Check the provider's dashboard for rate limit status

  • Add a fallback provider in openclaw.json

4. Slack Webhook Delivery Fails

Error: Slack webhook failed: 403 or 404

Cause: Webhook URL is expired, malformed, or the Slack app was removed.

Fix:

  • Regenerate the webhook URL in your Slack workspace settings (under Incoming Webhooks)
